GREAT DEAL ON FROZEN PANCAKES

Well, I must admit, sometimes I take the easy way out and have frozen pancakes for breakfast. I have always liked buying the DeWafelbakkers bagged pancakes at Wal Mart because they are very economical for around 2.50. Well, this week, Ingles has an even better deal. Today through Saturday 11/12, they are on sale for $2 per bag. Then, if you "like" them on Facebook, you can print a coupon for $1 off, making them just $1. Make certain you hit your "back" button and print 2 coupons. If you don't have an Ingles, then use your coupons at Wal Mart. You may even be able to price match.

I had a variety of these coupons, and I was not sure which items I was gonna buy, so I took most of them with me. This is what I bought:

4 Cresent Rolls @ 1.25 = 5.00
used two 50¢/2 printables
2 Grands Sweet Rolls @ 1.25 = 2.50
used two 30¢/1 printables
2 French Loaves @ 1.25 = 2.50
used  one 40¢/2  SS 1/23
2 Pillsbury Sweet Moments Bags @ 2.50 = 5.00
used two $3 printables (no longer available)
4 4pks Ray-O-Vac Batteries @ 1.25 = $5.00
used 4 $1 printables
1 Blue Bunny Ice Cream @ 2.50
used $2 off printable (no longer available)

I also received $4 off instantly.
The total value of what I bought before sales and coupons was 34.58.
The total I paid was 3.10 plus tax.
I saved 31.18 or 90%!

For some reason, after my coupons were deducted, the $4 instant savings was added back on to my total. Neither the cashier nor the CSM could explain why, so I was manually given the discount. My theory is that once my coupons were deducted, my total for the promotion was less than $10. However, this condition was not in their ad. I also believe that my last 2 coupons were not doubled because of the $4 discount. But I did not quarrel with that, considering that it was only 60¢.

Most of my grocery dollars were spent at Ingles this week, which is very unusual. I accidentally picked up a can of store brand pinto beans instead of Luck's or I would have saved just a little more. This is what I bought.

5 Chunky Soups @ 5/2.20
2 Margaret Holmes Greens @ 2/1.42
1 Luck's Beans @ 50¢

1 pk (1.64 lb) Smoked Hog Jowls @ 2.10
1 pk ground chuck (4.07 lbs) @ 7.65
1 Grocery item @ 1.31 (don't remember)

My total before sales and coupons was 45.72.
The total I paid was 21.42.
I saved 24.30 or 53%.

SAVING AT INGLES

I made a quick trip to Ingles today to pick up the Sunday paper, where they sell it for 92¢. While there, I took advantage of a couple of great deals. An unexpected deal was Kikkoman Triyaki Sauce for 1.78 and Kikkoman Sweet & Sour Sauce for 1.48. I had $1 printable coupons, which made for a very good deal. There was supposed to be a catalina deal on them also, but it did not print. I called the company and they are going to mail me the $1 coupon. This is what I bought.

1 Sunday paper (92¢)
1 loaf bread (98¢)
2 Capn Crunch Cereals (2/2.00)
1 Quaker Instant Grits (67¢)
1 Gold Medal Flour (1.50)
1 Kikkoman Teriyaki (78¢)
1 Kikkoman Sweet & Sour (48¢)

My total before sales and coupons was 20.08
Total I spent was 7.33.
I saved 12.75 or 63%.
When I get the catalina coupon, it will bring my savings to 68%.

INGLES TRIP 08/02

I stopped into Ingles because they had a special deal on Kraft cheeses. I bought 5 products @ $2 each with no coupons, (oh, no!) and received a catalina coupon for $5 off my next purchase. I then purchased:
1 Taco Bell Dinner Kit
3 boxes Taco Bell Shells
3 cans Manwich
4 lbs ground beef
1 pack gravy mix

I used the $5 coupon from the prior transaction and paid 8.88. So, for everything in this photo I spent a total of 18.88. Total before sales and coupons was 39.05. That's a savings of about 52%. That's not bad considering all of the meat and cheese that I bought.

INGLES 07/05

I made a quick stop at Ingles this week because they had a super price on country-style ribs at $1.48 per lb. And, while I really do not need any more cereal, I could not pass up Capn Crunch for 88¢ a box. They had Sunny D B1G1 and so I decided to pick up a couple, even though I did not have coupons. I also got 2 packs of bologna for 50¢ each and a free can of vitamin water. I forgot to put the ribs in the picture so what you see here was $4.56. The ribs were $7.89 for a large tray countaining 12 meaty ribs. Yum!

NEW ADVENTURE

I decided to add Ingles to my shopping trip this week, because they have a great price on Duke's Mayo at 1.88 and they do double 50¢ coupons. However, their policy is very tricky. They will only double 3 coupons for every $10 that you purchase. But they also had an awesome deal on GM cereal so I knew that I would be spending at least $10. I actually went back a second time to pick up some more mayo and a few other things that were good deals.
I bought everything that you see in this picture for...
$3.64
WOW!!!
