I started with $8 RRs and ended with $5 RRs, making the total cost of everything 3.90 plus tax.

I had a great day at Walgreen's this week. Even though they were out of a couple of the things that I wanted, I still got some great deals. This is what I bought:

The total retail value of everything that I bought was  33.51 plus tax.
The total that I paid was 38¢ plus tax.
I used $9.00 in RR's and received $9 in RR's back.
This made my total just 1.69, including tax.
The only thing I bought that I had an immediate need for was the pork & beans, but 1.69 is less than I would have paid for them anywhere.

WALGREEN INFANT CARE BOOKLET

I have read many comments on various blogs saying that you guys can not find the Walgreens Infant Care Booklet. I did find it so I thought I'd do this post. I confirmed while I was shopping today that you really don't need the coupon, just the promo code. So below is a list of the codes. Feel free to copy & paste it to a word document. MAKING MONEY @ WALGREEN'S

Last week I spent all of my Register Rewards on the cheap Gatorade and said I was not gonna shop their deals again! This is not because of any bad experience or anything, I have never been treated badly at Wags, and I have always been pleased with the deals that I got. It's just that the RR's expire so quickly and they are very often sold out of what I want to buy in order to roll them. That being said, I found that I just could not resist testing something new this week, so into Wags I went.  This is what I bought.

I have known for some time that there were extra benefits for AARP members at Wags but I had never pursued it. Fortunately, I checked it out at just the right time. This offer ends 3/27/11.
So, even after tax, I made $9.52 by shopping at Wags this week.

EXTRA SAVINGS FOR AARP MEMBERS @ WAGS

 I realize that most of you are younger than I am, however, I thought that I would pass this along for those of you who are a bit more "experienced", and for others to pass on to their older relatives and friends. I had read that there were benefits for shopping at Wags, but I didn't, and still don't, know what all they are. I do know this, however. If you spend $20 in one transaction, before coupons and tax, you will receive a catalina coupon for $5 off your next purchase. Make certain to show them your card first. GREAT DEALS @ WAGS

I went to 2 different Walgreen's this week for the Swiffer deal. I had gotten an amazing deal on the starter kit and one refill last week, but was thinking that this was probably not gonna be a good investment, but this deal came along. I would also like to point out that I did not clean the shelves in either location, both stores were well-stocked. This is what I bought:

1 Orbit Gum
1 Good & Plenty candy (filler)
2 Mandarin Oranges (fillers)

I started with $18 in RR's. I did a total of 3 transactions.
Total value of what I bought was 77.74, according to my receipt.
My total out of pocket was 2.67 and I have $4 RR's for next week. That makes the total cost 16.67 plus tax. That's a little more than I intended, but considering everything that I got, I think it's pretty good. Also, with the wetjet refills being at a reduced price, I had to buy 3 to get the reward. I had 3 BOGO coupons. Now I know that I can use my wetjet for 6 months or more at no additional cost.

ONLY PAID TAX AT WAGS

I had a short and sweet trip to Walgreen's this week. They were out of a couple of things on my list, but I got some great deals. I did not spend any RR's and I did not earn any. I bought

CHEAP CANDY AT WAGS

I had a very good trip to Walgreen's this week. Everything that I was looking for was in stock. I had a short list, so I decided to do just 1 transaction. I bought:
2 Vicks Sinex
4 M&M's
3 Ecotrin
1 Holiday Butterfinger.

I bought the Butterfinger as a filler, and did not realize that there was an in-ad coupon for it. I could have saved 20¢ more.
I started with $7 Register Rewards.
I spent 9.61 and received $15 Register Rewards.
That makes the total for this trip 1.61. YAY!

ALMOST FREE CANDY AT WALGREENS

If you are headed out to Walgreens, make certain you take advantage of the deal I found yesterday. Buy 4 king-size Mar's candy bars (Snickers, 3 Muskateers, Milky Way, M & Ms, etc.

Use the in-ad coupon to make them $1 each.
Use the 99¢ off 3 coupon from Nov. coupon book. (took off 33¢ each for me).
Use two BOGO coupons from RP 9/26.
Makes it 68¢ for all four!

SAVED 97% at WAGS

My trip to Walgreens this week was not a moneymaker, but still got some great buys. This is what I bought:

2 Nivea Body Wash for Men
2 Nivea Body Wash for Women
2 Bufferin Low Dose
1 Mucinex Nasal Spray
1 Mandarin Oranges (needed filler)

Total before sales annd coupons was 47.22.
Total I spent was 4.97 plus tax.
I used $4.50 in RR's from last week and received $8 RR.
That makes my total for this trip 1.47 plus tax.
