MY BI-LO SHOPPING TRIP 4/12

I spent a little more at Bi-Lo this week than usual, but I bought ground beef and cubed steak that was on sale. In addition to that, I bought hamburger and hot dog buns that were not on sale. Everything in this picture is what I bought using coupons. It may not look like much, but if you look closely, you'll see that there are:

3 80ct packages of Snuggle Dryer Sheets (On sale for 2.99 & I had coupons for $3 off each) = Free + 1¢ overage each.

3 cans of Gillette Shave Gel (On sale for $2, Had 2 55¢ off coupons which doubled. I bought 3 because, by doing so I earned 20 extra FuelPerks) = 3.80 for all 3.

8 cans Chef Boyardee(only 7 pictured) ($1 each, had coupons for $1 off 4) = $6 for 8

2 Hartz Cat Treats (BOGO @ 2.39; had coupons for $1 off each) = .38 for 2.

2 Fajita Mixes (BOGO @ .69) = .68 for 2.

1 Armour Treet (On clearance shelf) = .99.

2 Muellers Vermicelli (BOGO @ 1.35, had coupon for .55 off 2 which doubled) = .25 for 2

1 SH Sliced Peaches (had coupon for "free" from Bi-Lo) = 0.

Everything in the picture cost me 12.07.

Total for these items before sale and coupons was 43.56. Not Bad!

Total Bill before coupons and sale was 95.74.

After coupons and sale was 42.76. This includes 8 lbs. of ground beef and 5.25 lbs of cubed steak.

So I saved 52.98 plus got 20 extra FuelPerks.

I would estimate this at about $15 worth of free stuff. It was a pretty good week.

SAVING AT CVS

I made my usual trip to CVS this week and got some great deals!

I spent a little more than usual, but only because I found great items on the clearance shelf. I bought 3 canisters of NesQuik for $1 each and 3 cans of Rave Hair Spray (my favorite) for $! each. I had no coupons for these and they offered no ECB's, but the deal was too good to pass up. I also bought:

2 Stride Gum

4 Pantene

2 Clairol Natural Instincts

1 Colgate Toothpaste

1 CVS paper Towels

1 CVS Toilet Tissue

2 Tasters Choice Stick Packs

Total value: 69.86

Total out-of-pocket: 3.93

Ecb's used: 20.97

Ecb's earned: 12.98

Total cost of trip 11.92

Still not bad. The cheapest price I have found on the Rave is almost 2.50 at Wal-Mart.

I went to Bi-Lo to pick up a few of their specials. As usual, I didn't need much but could not pass up the bargains. I bought:

1 Lifesaver Gummi @ 1.50 - .50 q (doubled)= .50

4 Shake & Bake BOGO @ 2.59 = 5.18 - .75 q x 4 = 2.16

1 Southern Home Sliced Peaches (free coupon from Bi-Lo) = 0

2 Breakstone Sour Cream Pints @ .99 - .55 q (doubled to .99) x 2 = 0

2 Hershey's Milkshakes @ $1 - .35 q (doubled) x 2 = .60

2 Green Giant Veggies @ $1 - .50 q (doubled) = 1.00

Received .05 bag credit (took my own reusble bag)

Total value: 24.87

Total paid: 5.05

I am used to seeing this from Bi-Lo, but this is from Land O Lakes. Buy 1 I Can't Believe It's Not Butter or 1 Smart Balance Buttery Spread, then go HERE to download the form to submit for a coupon for a free Land O Lakes Butter. Any purchase after 4/1 qualifies, so you may have already bought what you need. This offer is good through 5/31, so there will probably be a good sale on one of these items before the offer ends.

FREE TOILET PAPER NEXT WEEK

If any of you have gotten the $1 off CVS paper product coupon from the card scanner and still have it, save it for next week. Word has it that next week their single rolls of tp will be 2 for $1, so you can get 2 free. I used my coupon to get one roll for 15¢ the other day. It is very thin and not real soft, but it was almost free! I hope I have the chance to scan my card again and get another coupon to use next week. FYI: Single rolls of paper towels are around 1.29.
