I had another good Publix trip this week, though not as big as last week. I stocked up on Toaster Struedel, Green Giant veggies, Coffeemate Creamer, and much more. I spent 34.53 plus tax and saved 78.34. I saved about 70%. It was a very good trip.
This is a list of the things that I got for free this week through the use of coupons and online requests. Now keep in mind that during that time I spent just $47.65 and received rebates of $34.97 in addition to the $20 certificate. This is what I got today. I did 2 separate transactions.

Energy Efficient Now is offering two CFL light bulbs to anyone who goes HERE and makes the request. When you answer the questions, just make certain that you say that you have at least 2 traditional bulbs in your house that need to be replaced. You will get an email confirmation in which you wll be directed to another site that is promoting this same giveaway. I signed up again from that site. We never know for sure if these things are for real or not until we sign up and wait to see, but I hope this one is. I am in the process of changing my traditional bulbs to CFL's, but they are fairly expensive. I only buy them when I can get a very good deal, but free is even better.
This is another Facebook freebie. Go HERE & click the "like" button. You will then be able to print acoupon for $1 of Fig Newtons. The really great thing about this coupon is that there is no size limitation on it. The small boxes are often on sale for $1 at CVS, which would make them free!

When I went to CVS, I was not sure what I was going to do because I had over $25 in ECB's that were about to expire. I always like to use them on things that will give me more ECB's. Well, my plan was to buy two each of the Dove and Dial because they were the best ECB deals and I have 2 cards to use. But after my coupons, that would only add up to 11.48 after coupons, so I just had to play it by ear. Well, they also had Coke products 4 12pks for $13 with $3 ECBs, which was a good deal. So this is what I bought:
2 12pks Coke 2 12pks Sprite 2 Dove Hair Care 2 Dial Body Wash 4 CVS tissue (2 were free with coupon) 1 Glade plug-ins refill 1 Fruitopia Shampoo 1 Gold Emblem Chips 1 CVS wipes
Total value: 57.95 Total out-of-pocket: .50 plus tax Total ECBs used: 30.97 ECBs earned: 20.98 Total cost: 10.49 plus tax. Not bad!!
I do not get to go to Publix very often, but really enjoy shopping there. They are a very friendly store. I did make a special trip this week, but I was already half-way there. I really got some great deals, but did not spend much. I was also able to pick up a couple of their new coupon booklets.
This is what I bought:
4 2-liter 7-ups (on sale BOGO @ 1.45, had $1 off coupons = free plus overage of 1.10 for 4.
4 Bags Meow Mix (on sale BOGO @ 4.89, had 75¢ off coupons = 6.78 for 4 (1.69 each)
3 Hamburger Helper (on sale for 1.00 each, had coupon for 75¢ off 3 = 2.25 for 3
1 Sunny Delight (on sale for 1.33, had coupon for 25¢ which doubled) = 83¢

I spent a total of 9.87 for all of this. I also bought 2 quarts of strawberries for 1.25 each. Great deal! I love Publix, and saved 35.49 off regular prices.

3 cans of Gillette Shave Gel (On sale for $2, Had 2 55¢ off coupons which doubled. I bought 3 because, by doing so I earned 20 extra FuelPerks) = 3.80 for all 3.

I made my usual trip to CVS this week and got some great deals!
I spent a little more than usual, but only because I found great items on the clearance shelf. I bought 3 canisters of NesQuik for $1 each and 3 cans of Rave Hair Spray (my favorite) for $! each. I had no coupons for these and they offered no ECB's, but the deal was too good to pass up. I also bought:
2 Stride Gum
2 Clairol Natural Instincts
1 Colgate Toothpaste
1 CVS paper Towels
1 CVS Toilet Tissue
2 Tasters Choice Stick Packs
Total value: 69.86
Total out-of-pocket: 3.93
Ecb's used: 20.97
Ecb's earned: 12.98
Total cost of trip 11.92
Still not bad. The cheapest price I have found on the Rave is almost 2.50 at Wal-Mart.
I am used to seeing this from Bi-Lo, but this is from Land O Lakes. Buy 1 I Can't Believe It's Not Butter or 1 Smart Balance Buttery Spread, then go HERE to download the form to submit for a coupon for a free Land O Lakes Butter. Any purchase after 4/1 qualifies, so you may have already bought what you need. This offer is good through 5/31, so there will probably be a good sale on one of these items before the offer ends.
If any of you have gotten the $1 off CVS paper product coupon from the card scanner and still have it, save it for next week. Word has it that next week their single rolls of tp will be 2 for $1, so you can get 2 free. I used my coupon to get one roll for 15¢ the other day. It is very thin and not real soft, but it was almost free! I hope I have the chance to scan my card again and get another coupon to use next week. FYI: Single rolls of paper towels are around 1.29.
Canvaspeople.com is offering a free 8x10 photo canvas of one of your photos for free. This is a $55 value. You only pay shipping & handling, about 14.95. Go HERE to create yours now. Or you can apply your $55 certificate toward the purchase of a larger canvas. This would make a great Mother's Day or Father's Day gift.
For those of you who have not yet signed up for Murphy Usa's e-offers, go HERE to do so and print your coupon for a free Amp or Rock Star energy drink when you buy one. Once you sign up, you should start receiving monthly offers in your email.
Last month I had a post about becoming a fan of Nabisco on Facebook. I hope that you all followed through because today, the first Monday of April, Facebook fans can print a coupon for a free pack of cookies when you buy milk & cookies. So if you are not a fan of Nabisco on Facebook, now is a good time to remedy that.
