This is a rarity. We seldom see a coupon on meat. Go HERE and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click on "Free Code Play. A little box will pop up with a code in it. Enter the code and your email address as directed. Then start typing in the names of grocery stores in your area. The only one I could find in my area was Piggly Wiggly, though I know that Target Superstore is also on the list. Once you have done this click on "Check your code". You will be asked for your ID info, and then directed to the next page to see if you have won. You could even win a cart full of store brand groceries! You can play once per day, per email address. My Publix accepts any coupon that says "Manufacturer's Coupon", so I'm hoping for a deal there. If not, Piggly Wiggly often has ground beef on sale.
Do you have an A & W Root Beer Restaurant location in your area? If so, go HERE to like them on Facebook, and you will be able to print a coupon for a free burger & fries with the purchase of a 32 oz drink. Sounds like a good deal to me. I wish I had one closer to me!
I made a quick trip to Ingles today to pick up the Sunday paper, where they sell it for 92¢. While there, I took advantage of a couple of great deals. An unexpected deal was Kikkoman Triyaki Sauce for 1.78 and Kikkoman Sweet & Sour Sauce for 1.48. I had $1 printable coupons, which made for a very good deal. There was supposed to be a catalina deal on them also, but it did not print. I called the company and they are going to mail me the $1 coupon. This is what I bought.

Staples is currently having a Deal-A-Day Event. Today's deal is a really great one. Especially because it is something that I've been looking for. Remember that if you shop online, you will get free shipping for any order over $50, so I recommend that you purchase some other needed item that costs more than 10.01. My trip to Bi-Lo this week was quite profitable. But again, I remind you, always check your receipt before you leave. As I was waiting at the CS counter to ask for a raincheck, I scanned over my receipt. I saw that it only showed three $2 coupons and I knew that I used 4. As the holiday season approaches, we will encounter many more opportunities to help those who are less fortunate. I would just like to remind you, that if you are like me, you probably have an abundance of toiletries and non-perishable food items already on hand. This is the perfect time to start gathering your excess to donate to your local food pantry, soup kitchen, shelter, or church. As I do my shopping each week, I realize that I really am not in need of anything. However, many people are, so I grab the deal anyway. That way, I can donate without any added expense to my budget. Please keep this in mind as you check the deals. Many people receive public assistance to purchase food items, but this does not help with the essentials like toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, etc. As we all know from our pre-couponing days, these things can be quite expensive. I can only imagine how hard it could be to supply a family of 4 or 5 with these necessities at regular price if I had no income, or if I had to choose between paying a bill or buying toiletries. Another thing that we may not think about donating is household items like laundry detergent, dish detergent, and other household cleaners.
So, please remeber, when you can get that item for free, or just pennies, if you don't need it, someone else does. DONATE!!
I know that I have posted about Groupon before, but now that they have a featured city that is within driving distance, I feel the need to do so again. Groupon is a website that features gift cetificates daily at greatly reduced prices. Each major city has a different deal, and they are only available if enough people are interested. The deals are usually only available for 24 hours. Also, in some cases, they are for online deals, which means that you can take advantage of them, regardless of where you live.
Groupon has come to Columbia, SC and will be coming to Greenville soon! I am looking forward to seeing what deals I can take advantage of in Cola. Today's deal is a really good one if you enjoy fine dining. You can buy a $50 certificate for Saluda's for just $25. The certificate can be used for anything on the menu, including your favorite drink. Check out Saluda's website HERE.
Now that your mouth is watering, go HERE to join Groupon and purchase your certificate. Most of the deals are limited, so get yours before they're all gone. Certificates do not expire until April 15, 2011. Or check out the deals from other cities by clicking on "Visit More Cities" at the top.
I will plan to post Columbia's daily deal, along with any online deals I can find each day. So check back later to see what may be available.
Are you signed up for ShopText? This is a company that distributes samples from major companies after receiving requests via text messaging. You must have a cell phone with a text message plan in order to participate. I have been signed up for about 10 months and I have never received an unsolicited text, so I feel this is safe. There have never been any charges to my cell phone bill either. I can not remember for sure how many samples I have requested by text, but I do remember that the best one was a Gillette Fusion Razor. These sell for $7-$10 each. Today they are offering a free Mary Kay Mascara along with a sample of moisturizer. Go HERE to register for ShopText, and once you are registered, text MARYKAY to 467467 and reply with an age between 13 and 24. This offer comes from Seventeen Magazine.
Disclaimer: I do not know which mascara they are giving away. It may not be the one pictured.
