I just want to tell you about a super deal I got at Rite Aid today. $5 +Up Rewards are printing on Gilette Fusion Razors, but my store had a special collection pack including a razor, 2 cartridges, shave gel, and a small pack of ProSeries Skin Care Lotion (or something, I haven't actually opened the package yet.) These were priced at $9.97 with $5 +Up. There was a $4 off coupon in Sunday's P&G insert. But to make this an even sweeter deal, there is a $3 off store coupon in the Rite Aid Clip & Save Booklet, (expires today), which can be used with the collection pack. Details are:

One Gillette Fusion Collection @ $9.97
---Use $4 coupon from PG 12/26
---Use $3 coupon from Clip & Save Booklet
pay $2.97 plus tax.
-----Receive $5 +Up Reward

That makes this a $2.03 moneymaker!

We will welcome 2011 with 4 coupon inserts in this week's Sunday papers. Here are the coupons that are scheduled. Please remember that coupons vary by region, so you should try to get the biggest paper that you can.

You can still participate in this winter's "Share the Softness" campaign from Kleenex and get a free package of Kleenex for you or a friend. Just go HERE and fill out a short form and hit continue. Then, enter the information of where you would like the package of Kleenex sent (if you want it for yourself, just put in your address again). The site is running just a little slow, so be patient, please.

Another great new coupon has popped up on Go HERE to print coupons for "Buy One, Get One Free Kodak Photo Book". These will be BOGO at CVS next week. Print 2 coupons and you will be able to get four free books for just tax. Great for those Christmas memories.

These are the coupons that I used on my last Publix Trip. I do not usually post the list because I shop on Monday and usually post on Tuesday, which is the last day of the sale. However, I was "scolded" for not posting it, and considering that these prices will be available through Friday this week, I decided to do so. Unfortunately, a lot of the printables were printed some time ago and are no longer available.

Here is a great deal that you can get at CVS right now, if you have the coupons from 11/28 PG. They are offering 2 separate ECB deals on Pantene products.

2 Pantene Shampoo or Conditioner products for 6.97
1 Pantene Styler (I bought hairspray) for 3.49
Total will be 10.46 plus tax

BOGO Free coupon
$1 off 2 coupon
Pay 5.97 plus tax.
Get back two $2 ECBs, one for the shampoo/conditioner & one for the styler.

That makes your final cost just 1.97 plus tax for all three. Great Deal!

Another great deal I saw at my Bi-Lo was Duke's Mayonnaise for 1.98. There was a 25 cents coupon in the 12/12 edition of SmartSource, which will make it just 1.48 per quart. There is a limit of 2, although my Bi-Lo allows me to do more than one transaction. This sale will probably end today.

When I was at Bi-Lo, I noticed that the 16 oz boxes of Mueller's Elbow Macaroni were specially priced at .97. There is a coupon HERE for .55 off, which will double at least to the purchase price, making it free or better, if your store allows overage.

Go HERE to 'like" Ruffles on Facebook. Then click on "Get Bagged". Enter your info to receive a coupon for 99 cents off of a bag of 99 cents Ruffles. Hopefully, we will be able to find bags this size.

There are some great new coupons on right now that will pair well with Publix BOGO sale on I Can't Believe It's Not Butter products. This sale lasts til Friday. Go HERE to print:

Free Bread wyb 2 ICBINB products (use zip 30187)
1.50 off 2 ICBINB products (use zip 20109)

I used these coupons for this scenario:
2 ICBINB squeezables @ 2.89
1 loaf Publix white bread @ 1.17
-1.50 coupon
- Free bread coupon (deducted $2)
Paid 0.56 for all.

A few more great new coupons are:

Under zip 90210:
.60 off 1 Country Crock (Bi-Lo will double) I will use this on CC Honey Spread and pay just .09.
2.00 off 2 Rice or Cocoa Krispies (Rice Krispies are BOGO @ 3.99 at Publix right now, and are on sale at Ingles for 1.98.)

Under zip 20109:
$1 off Mrs. Butterworth's Pancake Syrup (BOGO at Publix)

My trip to Bi-Lo this week was short but very, very, sweet. I only needed a few items. It would have been even better, but my Bi=Lo no longer allows overage. This is what I bought.

10 Martha White Cornbread Mixes (10/ FREE)
4 Cans Dole Mandarin Oranges (4/ 1.36)
3 Pillsbury Brownie Mixes (3/ .66)
1 SH Pasta & Sauce (FREE)

I got .05 bag credit.
My total before sales and coupons was 23.01.
The total I paid was 1.86.
I saved 21.15 0r 92%.

I have now used all of my Martha White coupons and doubt that I will have anymore. But I am stocked up on cornbread mix with enough to last until summertime, I think. And it was all free. This is my favorite kind and all you add is water. Can't beat that.

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

I had a good trip to Bi-Lo this week, though they were out of a couple of things on my list. Also, my cashier did not allow any overage, but I really can not complain about that. I do believe that this is up to the cashier, and I noticed her pushing a lot of buttons. I also realized after I got home that I was charged for 2 Pasta Noodles and only bought one, and I was charged for 1 SH dip mix and I actually bought 2. Also, my credit for the Pasta Noodles was only .80, and should have been .88. If I had caught all this while I was in the store, I would have stopped at CS on the way out and had them correct it. But since I was home before I caught it, and it only adds up to .38, I will disregard it. After all, I did get a few freebies this week due to Bi-Lo's doubling. This is what I bought. I have listed the prices as what I actually paid.

6 MW Cornbread Mix (0)
2 Combos (2/.95)
1 SH Pasta Noodles (.96; s/b 0)
2 SH Dip Mix (.57; s/b 1.15)
3 Tennessee Pride Sausage Gravy (0)
4 Dozen Eggs ( 4/4.40)
4 Lean Pockets (4/3.52)
1 Stayfree (Not pictured, .50)

I received .15 bag credit.

My total before sales and coupons was 37.94.
I paid 10.78.
I saved 26.56 or 70%. My savings would have been greater but I was out of eggs. I did have coupons, which is very unusual, but they were about to expire, and the price may not come down until after the holidays.

I had another great trip to Publix today. I did not need much, and very well could have skipped this trip, but I just can't resist the deals. Here is what I bought.

5 Yakisoba Noodles (5/0+$2 overage)
3 Hamburger Helper (3/2.22)
2 Betty Crocker Decadent Cake Mix (2/.59)
3 Large Bags Chex Mix (3/2.07)
1 3lb Meow Mix (1.44)
1 Chips Ahoy (.90)
2 16 oz Wishbone Dressing (2/.61)
1 13.75 oz Idahoan Potatoes (0+ .31)
1 Gallon Milk (3.39)

I bought the Idahoan Potatoes because I realized that they had the large box for just 1.69, and I had a catalina coupon from Bi-Lo for $2 off, and Publix would accept it.

My total before sales and coupons was 44.21.
I paid 8.96 plus tax.
I saved 35.25 or 80%.

Friday, December 10, 2010

I had another really amazing trip to Publix this week. My Whiskas coupons were about to expire, so I am now stocked up on cat food. Hopefully, there will be another coupon before I run out. This is what I bought. I had already put my perishables away when I took my picture. Oops!

1 Farm Rich Cheese Sticks (not pictured) 2.49
2 Cole's Cheesesticks (2/1.69) (not pictured)
1 Cole's Cinnamon Sticks (.85) (not pictured)
2 Pepperidge Farm Cookies (2/1.39)
2 Krusteaz Cookie Mixes (2/.19)
1 Lance Crackers 8pk (1.45)
5 Scotch Magic Tape (5/.45)
5 Yakisoba Noodles (5/0+2.00 overage)
2 Caprisun 10pks (2/1.58)
16 Whiskas Cat Food Trays (16/0)
1 Cover Girl Eye Shadow (.49)
2 House Aughtry 2lb Corn Meal (2/.38)
1 Glory Pinto Beans (.35)
2 Glory Cornbread Mix (2/0+.30 overage)
2 Idahoan Potatoes (2/0+.35)
2 Nestle Chocolate Morsels (2/1.83)
1 Green Onions (.43) (not pictured)

My total before savings and coupons was 74.33.
The total I spent was 10.46 plus tax.
I saved 63.87 or 86%. $37 of this was coupons.

Go HERE to print you coupon for $5 off of a $25 purchase. This coupon is good for Saturday only. Since it is a Bricks coupon, you should be able to print 2. I stopped in Food Lion to grab some of the Kellogg's cereal that was on promo ($5 off instantly with the purchase of 4). I had coupons for Rice/Cocoa Krispies and they were on sale for $2 each. There were also peelies on some boxes for a free bag of marshmallows with the purchase of 2 cereals. This is what I did.

1 Rice Krispies
3 Cocoa Krispies
2 Jet-Puffed Marshmallows
4 Chef Boyardee Can Pasta

For some reason, the $5 did not come off at the register, so a trip to Customer Service was required. After they refunded me $5, I paid a total of 3.50. I saved 18.57. Good Deal!

This is a list of 34 things that I got for free this week through the use of coupons or online requests for samples. It does not include anything that I got by playing the various drugstore games. This is what I got:
1 Mary Kay Mascara
1 Mary Kay Eye Makeuo Remover
1 Sample Splenda (large 24 servings)
8 Martha White Cornbread Mix
3 Glory Cornbread Mix
1 SH Wonton Strips
2 Ronzoni Rotini
2 Sundown Vitamins
1 Wanchai Ferry Frozen Entree
2 Hershey's Syrup
1 Reddi-Wip
4 Whiskas Cat Food Trays
2 Kraft Marshmallows (Only 1 pictured)
3 45ct boxes Ecotrin
2 Heluva Good Dips

The total retail value of all of these is 73.09, based on each store's full retail price. I estimated the cost of the 2 samples. Also, keep in mind that several of these coupons produced overages, making other items cost less. I had a total of 3.81 in overages making my total free 76.90. It was a great week!

Friday, November 19, 2010

I just ran across this great coupon on It is for 50% off of any item under $30. So go HERE to print yours now. This coupon is good November 27th only.

I had a very good trip to Walgreen's this week. Everything that I was looking for was in stock. I had a short list, so I decided to do just 1 transaction. I bought:
2 Vicks Sinex
4 M&M's
3 Ecotrin
1 Holiday Butterfinger.

I bought the Butterfinger as a filler, and did not realize that there was an in-ad coupon for it. I could have saved 20¢ more.
I started with $7 Register Rewards.
I spent 9.61 and received $15 Register Rewards.
That makes the total for this trip 1.61. YAY!

My trip to Bi-Lo this week was quite successful. I was able to stock up on cornbread mix and Eagle Brand milk. Here is what I bought.
1 Gallon Milk (3.13)
1 half-gallon Buttermilk (2.47)
2 Martha White Biscuit Mix (2/66¢)
8 Martha White Cornbread Mix (8/0+40¢ overage)
2 Comstock Pie Fillings (2/2.21)
1 SH Saltines (99¢)
1 SH Onion Soup mix (67¢)
5 Eagle Brand Milk (5/4.40)
2 Stayfree Pads (2/1.00)
1 3lb. bag onions (1.64)
1 SH Wonton Strips (0)
1 received 15¢ credit for using my own bags.

As you can see, I bought several things that I did not have coupons for. One good thing about using coupons, is that it enables you to afford the things that do not have coupons and stay within your budget.

Total value before sales and coupons was 49.26.
The total I spent was 16.52 plus tax.
I saved 32.74 or 66%.

I had another great trip to Publix this week. This is what I bought:

1 Alexia Sweet Potato Fries (1.50)
2 Wanchai Ferry Frozen Entrees (2/4.99)
2 Heluva Good Dips (2/0)
4 Whiskas Trays (4/0)
6 Hershey's Syrups(2 sugar-free) (6/5.45)
4 Campbell's Cream Soups (4/2.40)
2 Nestle's Tollhouse Morsels (2/1.83)
2 Ronzoni Pasta (2/0+61¢ overage)

2 Sundown Vitamins (2/0+82¢)
1 18 lbs. Kibbles & Bits Dog Food (7.99)
2 Reddi-Whip (2/30¢)

Total value before sales and coupons was 93.12 plus tax.
The total I spent was 26.29 plus tax.
I saved 66.83 or 72%. This number is not as high as the last few weeks, but dog food is quite pricey, even with coupons.

This is a list of the things that I got for free this week through the use of coupons or online requests. It does not include the things that I got free by playing the various drugstore games.

1 Wholly Guacamole
12 Whiskas Trays
2 Yakisoba Noodles
2 Axe Shower Gel
2 Sundown Vitamins
1 Marcal Tissue
1 SH Sloppy Joe Sauce
1 Gain Dish Liquid
2 Idahoan Potatoes
1 Wanchai Ferry Frozen Entree
3 Glory Corn Bread Mix

Several of these coupons created overage, which actually would have made even more free items. The total I would have paid for all of these is $38.66, plus I had a total of 4.99 in overages.
That makes $43.65 worth of free stuff!

I seldom use coupons at Wal Mart, since most of the time I leave disappointed. They are usually very coupon-unfriendly. I guess today was my lucky day! I had a $4 Wholly Guacamole coupon and my last $5 Kraft coupon. They were both expiring. I bought:

2 Breakstone Sour Cream
3 Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 Wholly Guacamole
1 Store Brand Loaf Bread

The guacamole only cost 2.28 so I was prepared for a problem. However, if went through just fine. I don't think my cashier keyed it in, but I'm not sure. When she scanned my Kraft coupon, she was prompted to enter the amount. When she entered $5, it only credited me 1.42. She told me this and when I questioned why, she said she didn't know. She then went and asked someone, and when she came back, she entered the remaining 3.58 as a vendor coupon.

I paid a total of .70. WOW!

I had a really great trip to Rite Aid this week, as usual. I had not shopped Rite Aid in a couple of weeks, so I was really glad to find that most of my list was in stock. This is what I bought, doing 3 transactions.

3 12pks Pepsi/Mt. Dew
3 Nivea Men's Body Wash
4 Axe Body Wash
1 Finish Jet-Dry
2 Garnier Herbashine Hair Color
1 Garnier Shampoo
1 Garnier Conditioner
2 Hall's Cough Drops
1 Oral B Toothbrush
1 Vacuum Wine Stopper (clearance)
2 Halloween Candy (clearance)

I started with $4 +Up Rewards.
I spent a total of 9.76 plus tax, rolling my +Up Rewards.
iI have 4.99 +Up Rewards for next time, making this trip cost me 8.77 plus tax. I would have paid that much for just the drinks. I love Rite Aid.

I spent more at Bi-Lo this week than usual, but that's because they had ground chuck and boneless chicken breast on sale at the same time. These are staples in my house. This is what I bought:

6 boxes Kleenex
4 4lb bags Dixie Crystals Sugar
1 Mt. Olive Banana Peppers
2 Martha White Biscuit Mix
1 Nabisco Classic Cookies
1 10 Potatoes
2 SH Dip Mix
1 SH Hamburger Buns
5 Chef Boyardee Pasta
1 Marcal Tissue
1 SH Sloppy Joe Sauce
4 Campbells Cream Soups
6 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
1 Gallon Milk
1 Gain Dish Liquid

My total before sales and coupons was 93.69.
Total I spent was 41.81.
I saved 51.88 or 55%.

This savings is not as much as usual, but still pretty good, considering I bought potatoes, milk, and ground chuck, and 4 bags of sugar. The meat and sugar were on sale but only by about 40%. Also, I could not find my coupon for the biscuit mix. I did 2 separate transactions because there was a catalina deal on the Kleenex and a limit of 2 on the sugar. I paid for the Kleenex and 2 bags of sugar first and received a coupon for $3 off mt next order, which I used on the second transaction. My banana peppers rang up full-price and I did not catch it until I started writing this post. I will probably stop at the service desk next week and see if they will correct the mistake.

This is another Facebook freebie. Go HERE to like Food Should Taste Good on Facebook, and they will mail you a coupon for a free bag of crackers/chips.

This is a rarity. We seldom see a coupon on meat. Go HERE and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click on "Free Code Play. A little box will pop up with a code in it. Enter the code and your email address as directed. Then start typing in the names of grocery stores in your area. The only one I could find in my area was Piggly Wiggly, though I know that Target Superstore is also on the list. Once you have done this click on "Check your code". You will be asked for your ID info, and then directed to the next page to see if you have won. You could even win a cart full of store brand groceries! You can play once per day, per email address. My Publix accepts any coupon that says "Manufacturer's Coupon", so I'm hoping for a deal there. If not, Piggly Wiggly often has ground beef on sale.

Do you have an A & W Root Beer Restaurant location in your area? If so, go HERE to like them on Facebook, and you will be able to print a coupon for a free burger & fries with the purchase of a 32 oz drink. Sounds like a good deal to me. I wish I had one closer to me!
