SAVED 92% @ CVS

I had a really good trip to CVS this week. I have not bought the shampoo deals in quite some time, but I just could not resist this one. This is what I bought.

1 Pantene Shampoo
1 Pantene Condition
1 Gillette Fusion Razor
1 Gillette Fusion Shave Gel
2 Oral B Toothbrushes
1 Rubbermaid Take-Along 4pk

I bought the Rubbermaid because I was trying to spend a $10 ECB that was about to expire. This was a good price for something that I can use.

The total CVS value of what I bought was  32.89 plus tax.
The total that I spent was 1.63 plus tax.
I used $11 in ECBs and received $10 in ECBs back. That makes the total for this trip 2.63 plus tax.
I saved 92%.

SAVED 77% @ PUBLIX

My Publix trip this week was small, but it allowed me to stock up on a few necessities. This is what I bought.

10 Cans Chef Boyardee (4.50)
1 12pk Cottonelle (4.74)
3 Chex Mix (3/89¢)
3 Bugles (3/89¢)
2 Lipton To Go 10pks (2/1.39)
2 Splenda 80ct Boxes (2/35¢)

The total Publix value was 54.21 plus tax.
The total that I spent was 12.70 plus tax.
I saved 41.51 or 77%.

BI-LO BARGAINS

I had a pretty good trip to Bi-Lo this week, though most of my savings were from sales instead of coupons. This is what I bought.

2 packs Cube Steak (5.52)
1 Boneless Pork Loin, had sliced (8.99)
1 Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce (2.22)
1 Kikkoman S & S Sauce (1.99)
3 Dozen Eggs (3/80¢)
1 Nilla Wafers (1.24)
1 Zattaran's Jambalaya (54¢)
1 SH Snack Bags (FREE)
1 SH Loaf Bread, not pictured (1.45)
1 SH Hamburger Buns, not pictured (98¢)

Now, to clarify a couple of things. I bought the Kikkoman Sauces because I had coupons that said "Save 55¢ on eggs when you buy any Kikkoman product." This made my eggs very cheap, and since I would have bought them anyway, I look as this as savings on the sauces, which I also use regularly. Also, I accidentally picked up the Zattaran's Jambalaya instead of the Southern Home, which is what my coupon was for. This should have been caught at the register, but the coupon scanned with no beeps. Hmmm..., that's strange.

I also got 15¢ bag credit.
The total Bi-Lo value of everything that I bought was 49.37.
The total that I spent was 22.58.
I saved 26.79 or 54%. This is about the usual, when I have this much meat.

I did not use very many coupons at Bi-Lo this week and I bought a few items that I had not planned to, just because I wanted them. I was way under budget, so I figured that was okay this week. I also did not need any meats, as I had stocked up in recent weeks. This is what I bought.

2 Pizza Crust Pouches (2.30)
1 Fritos Corn Chips (1.74)
3 Chef Boyardee Can Pasta (2.00)
1 Lance Creative Creations Crackers (1.00)

Since a couple  of the items are not in the picture, what you see actually cost me 5.68 plus tax!

BI-LO REVISES THEIR COUPON POLICY

Bi-Lo has recently changed their coupon policy. The biggest change that I see is that they will now accept local competitor's coupons, and allow you to stack a store coupon with a manufacturer's coupon. I have put a link to it on my sidebar so that you can print it out and keep it with you for reference. The new policy reads as follows:

  • Coupons must be presented at the beginning of the checkout transaction, along with your Bi-Lo Bonuscard.
  • Manufacturer and store coupons will only be redeemed on or before expiration date.
  • One manufacturer and one store coupon can be redeemed per item.
  • Items must be purchased in the size, variety and quantity as specified on the coupon.
  • All restrictions and/or limits printed on coupons will be enforced.
  • Limit of ten (10) coupons on like items are eligible to double. Remaining coupons on like items will be redeemed at face value and will not be doubled.
  • Manufacturer coupons with a value of 60¢ or less will double, unless otherwise posted at store level.
  • Double coupon redemption applies only to manufacturer coupons. Bi-Lo store coupons will not be doubled.
  • Free manufacturer or store coupons will not be doubled.
  • Electronic coupons will not be doubled.
  • The total coupon value, including the doubled amount, must not exceed the price of the item and no cash back will be given.
  • Coupons on alcohol or tobacco products will not be doubled.
  • Coupons will not be doubled when restricted by manufacturer or where prohibited by law.
  • Only valid, scanable Internet coupons will be redeemed.
  • Bi-Lo will redeem local competitor coupons on identical items.
  • Bi-Lo reserves the right to accept, decline or limit the use of coupons.

1 loaf SH bread (1.45)
1 8pk SH Hamburger Buns (98¢)
3 Hamburger Helper (3/2.25)
4 Lbs Flounder (7.99)

I saved 43.41 or 69%. That not bad, considering the amount of meat/seafood that I got.

ALMOST FREE AT CVS

I had a really good trip to CVS this week. I had a few great coupons from the magic coupon machine, which made for some awesome deals. I had the $1 off Pringles to-go cans, but my store did not have them, so they let me use it on the Super Stack cans, which were on sale for 1.33. This is what I bought, in 2 separate transactions.

4 Pringles
4 Dove Mens Body Wash
1 Dove Mens Deodorant
1 Brilliant Tampons
1 Bottle Tums
1 Pack Twizzlers

The total CVS value of my purchases was 50.58.
The total sale value was 33.12.
The total that I paid was 1.15, including tax.
I used $12 in ECBs and received $12.79.
This made the final cost of my trip 36¢ including tax.
That is a savings of over 100%, considering that the tax would have been about 1.55. I love the fact that my ECBs are now reducing the taxable amount of my purchases!
