COUPONS IN MY JUNK MAIL

I meant to do this post several days ago, but life just happens, sometimes. Hopefully, it's not too late for some of you, of at least you will know to be on the lookout in the future.
In my junk mail last week, I received what appeared to be a Wal Mart ad. It had a bunch of "junk mail type" items stuffed inside ot it. However, on the inside page, in an insertr called "Smart Market", there were 5 really great coupons. They were:

$1 off 1 Hebrew National Beef Frank
50¢ off 2 Hunts Ketchup
$1 off 1 Pam Cooking Spray
50¢ off 2 David's Seeds
$1 off 1 Slim Jim (16ct. or larger)

These coupons expire on 7/06/11.

Then on the back was

$1 off any Colgate Max Clean, Max Fresh, or Max White Toothpaste. (Expires 6/30/11)

 

So make certain. before you toss that junk mail, look inside. I have been receiving these about once a month.

RITE AID CHANGES THEIR COUPON POLICY

Rite Aid has made a major change in their coupon policy, which will probably change the way a lot of us shop there. They will no longer accept a "Buy One Get One Free "coupon along with a "Buy One Get One" sale item. They also no longer allow you to use 2 coupons on a BOGO deal, even if you are purchasing two products. And remember, you do have to buy two in order to get the sale price. One good change is that they will now allow you to use a coupon on your "buy" item, even if you are using a BOGO coupon. This is a practiced that they stopped recently, but have now put it in their policy that they will once again do this. To see their full policy, click HERE.

My Walgreens stop this week went quite well. I had no shockers or surprises at the register and I was able to get everything on my list except one. This is what I bought.

I did this in 2 separate transaction so that I could roll my RR's.
The total Walgreens value of what I bought was 28.95.
The total that I paid was 90¢ plus tax.
I started with $8 RRs and ended with $5 RRs, making the total cost of everything 3.90 plus tax.

SAVED 90% @ CVS

I went to 2 different CVS stores this week because I was afraid that my regular store would be out of what I was looking for. I got some really great deals. This is what I bought.

The total that I paid was 14.68.
I used 19.03 in prior ECBs and received 25.99 in ECBs.
That makes the total spent for this trip 7.94.

SAVED 67% AT BI-LO, EVEN WITH THE LONDON BROIL!

My trip to Bi-Lo was quite successful this week. I spent a little more than I have been spending there, but that is only because they had London Broil on BOGO! This is what I bought.

My total before sales and coupons was 80.57.
The total that I paid was 25.25.
I saved 51.32 or 67%.
It is very unusual to save this high percentage when there is meat, produce, and milk on the order. So I am really pleased with this. Especially since I bought 2 quarts Duke's Mayo and had no coupons for them.

HAD TO HAVE THE CANDY! MY PUBLIX TRIP!

I had a quick trip to Publix this week. It seems that the extreme couponers may have hit my area, so they were out of a few things that I planned to buy. Here is what I bought.

The total that I paid was 4.44 plus tax.
I saved 26.65 or 86%.
I realized afterwards that if I had not decided to "splurge" on the candy, I would actually have only spent 1.25 plus tax! Wow!

GREAT DEAL ON WET & WILD COSMETICS

Here is another super deal you can get at Rite Aid if you can shop tonight or tomorrow. Right now, Wet & Wild cosmetics are BOGO at various prices. There is also a $3 +Up Reward when you buy $10 worth. To make this deal even better, there was a coupon for $5 off of $10 worth of Wet & Wild products in the September issue of All You magazine. So you can get $20 worth of products for around $2 plus tax. Just make certain that you buy at least $10 worth. It may mean that you have to buy just under $11, because all of the prices end with ".99" My purchase was 10.97 for 6 products minus $5 coupon. Then I received the $3 +Up. Awesome deal.

FREE TYLENOL PRECISE @ WALGREENS OR RITE AID

Right now you can get free Tylenol Pain Patch or Cream at Walgreens of Rite Aid. However, you only have through tomorrow to get it at Rite Aid. Go HERE to print a $5 off coupon. These are priced at $5 right now at Rite Aid, so they would be free and you would only pay tax. At Walgreens they are priced at 7.99. There is a $3 off coupon in Walgreen's May coupon book. Paired with the $5 coupon, it would be free. It has been rumored that some ares got the coupon in their May 8th SmartSource insert.

The total that I paid was 38¢ plus tax.
I used $9.00 in RR's and received $9 in RR's back.
This made my total just 1.69, including tax.
The only thing I bought that I had an immediate need for was the pork & beans, but 1.69 is less than I would have paid for them anywhere.

Kodak Gallery is currently offering a free 5 X 7 14-page photo book. I received this in my email, so I am hoping that it is an offer that is being extended to all Kodak Gallery members.
