CHEAP SMUCKERS AT PUBLIX!

Beginning with the new ad which starts tomorrow or Thursday, depending on where you live, Publix will have Smuckers jams, jellies, and preserves on BOGO at $3.49. Well, a new coupon has become available, making this an even better deal, especially if your store doubles. Go HERE to print your 50¢ off one coupon, which will make them about 75¢ per jar, if your store doubles, and about 1.25 each if it does not. The favorite in our house is the sugar free cherry preserves. They are amazing!

Please remember that some stores' prices may vary a little.

SAVED 89% @ BI-LO

I had a really amazing trip to Bi-Lo this week. I had a short list, but it contained some awesome deals. I had several competitors' coupons, but didn't really know how I was going to use them. But It didn't take long to figure them out. Here it what I bought:

2 SH Styro Plates 50ct (2/1.15)
4 Herbal Essence Hair Care (4/FREE)
10 Candy Packs (10/$3)
2 Newtons Fruit Thins (2/2.48)
6 Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup (6/2.74)
2 Cooked Perfect Meatballs (2/ 98¢)
1 All Mighty Pacs (1.58)
1 Totinos Pizza (9¢)
6 Canisters Kool-Aid (6/FREE + 3.04 overage)

The total Bi-Lo value before any sales or coupons was $82.61. The total that I paid was $8.98 plus tax. I saved $73.63 or 89%.  I also gained 10¢ in fuel perks for the candy.

There has been some controversy over the use of the $5/2 Clairol coupon being used on things other than the hair color. However, the coupon states that it can be used on any Clairol product. If, in the future, the company intends for the use of their coupons to be limited to certain items, they will make it clear on the coupon. I used generic competitor's catalina coupons for the pizza, paper plates, and laundry detergent. I also used Dollar General coupons on the Kool-Aid, including B2G1 coupons. The manager took off the full amount of $3.99 for each of them.

Saved 82% at Bi-Lo

I had a really great week at Bi-Lo this week. I picked up a couple of things that I didn't have a coupon for, but I had competitors' coupons that made up for them. Here is what I bought.

4 Bags Dixie Crystals Sugar (4/3.96)
1 Ore-Ida Potatoes (1.98)
6 Old El Paso Seasoning Packets (6/1.12)
1 CV Hamburger Buns (49¢)
3 Muellers Hidden Veggie Pasta (3/FREE + 93¢ overage)
2 Wholly Guacamole (2/1.18)
2 French's Mustard (2/12¢)
2 Fruitaire 4ct ( 2/1.50)
2 Magnum Minis 6ct (2/$1)
2 Kraft Salad Dressings (2/1.94)
2 Hormel Chicken Breast 10oz (2/2.48)
3 lbs Ground Chuck (5.57)

I also used a $5 off $25 Save-A-Lot coupon. The price before any sales or coupons was $87.92. The total that I paid was $15.41. I saved $72.51 or 82%. Any time I save more than 60% on an order that contains meat, it is a great day!

GREAT DEAL ON SUGAR ENDS TODAY

I just wanted to remind you guys about the great sugar deal that ends today. Bi-Lo has the 4lb bag of Dixie Crystals sugar on sale for $1.99. There is a 50¢ off one coupon on their web page, which will double, making the sugar just 99¢! In addition to that, you will receive 3¢ in fuel perks for each bag that you buy. I bought 4 bags, paid $3.96, and received 12¢ in fuel perks. That's the equivalent of $2.40 in gas savings.

UPDATE: This price has actually been extended through July 16. However, the bonus fuel perks will not be part of the deal.

AWESOME CVS TRIP

This is the best CVS trip I have had in a long time, though a little unconventional. I had planned to buy 2 bags of Kit Kat Minis, because I had both store and manufacturer's coupons for them, but they were out. When I requested a raincheck, my cashier asked me if I would like to substitute something else. I told her no, because I had coupons for the Kit Kat. She assured me that the coupons would work, and even went to the shelf and got the Rolo Minis for me. I certainly hope that she doesn't get into any trouble. The register also accepted the $2/2 Pantene Products IP without beeping, even though I had already used 2 Pantene BOGO coupons. I did have to split this into 2 transactions, because their registers will not accept 2 identical store coupons in the same transaction. This is what I bought.

1 Charmin Basic 12pk @ 5.99
used 25¢ coupon from PG 7/07
2 Bounty Towels 6pk @ 5.99
    used (2) 25¢ coupons from PG 7/07
4 Pantenes @ 2/$7
used (2) BOGO coupons from PG 7/07
    used $2/2 printable
2 Rolo Minis @ 2/$6
used (2) $1/1 Kit Kat Minis printable, no longer available
used (2) $2.50/1 Kit Kat Minis, CVS coupons, printable

My total before any coupons was $37.97, though the CVS value was $54.21. I also had a $4 off $20 purchase coupon that CVS had emailed to me. After this and all of my other coupons, I paid $14.60 and received $10 back in ECBs. That makes the final cost just $4.60.
