2 GREAT COUPONS

There are 2 really great coupons that are available now, which could mean free, or almost free stuff, depending on your local sales. Go HERE to print a coupon for $2 off a bottle of Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice. Team this with Dollar General's 10% off food coupon this weekend, (I think they sell this for $2.50) and get it for about 25¢. Then go HERE to print a coupon for $1.25 off of Pillsbury's Simply Refrigerated Cookie Dough. This could make for some really cheap home-cooked cookies. And if someone has them on sale soon, even better!

FREE BETTY CROCKER COOK BOOK

This is the easiest freebie I have ever seen, if you have a cell phone with a text plan. Just text "BETTY" 467467 to request your free Betty Crocker Cookie Recipe Book.

MY BEST SHOPPING TRIP THIS WEEK

My best shopping trip this week was also my only shopping trip this week. I stopped into Rite Aid to pick up a few things on Sunday before I went to an engagement that afternoon. I did two very good transactions, but this one was the best, even though I did not get to use my $5 off $25 coupon. I bought:

2 packs Carefree

2 Air Wick I-Motion Starters

1 Herbal Essence Shampoo

1 Herbal Essence Hair Spray

Paid $1.96 + $1.43 tax = $3.39

Full value before sale prices was $36.94

Sale prices before coupons were $20.45

That's a 95% savings from regular price & a 90% savings from sale prices.

The Herbal Essences were BOGO so one of them rang up for 0, bringing my subtotal under $25, so I could not use my $5 off coupon. If I had been thinking clearly, I could have gone back and gotten 2 cans of my favorite hair spray, on sale for $2 each, used the $5 off coupon and paid $1 less! I'll be more careful next time.

HI-TECH SPOON?

Can someone tell me what the difference is between a spoon in my kitchen and a hi-tech spoon? Guess I'll find out in about 30 days. Go HERE to request your own and see for yourself!

$4 EXTRACARE BUCKS AT CVS

CVS has a new savings booklet out that is now in the stores. It list $35 in ECB's that can be earned other than the weekly offers. But the best thing about the booklet is the card in the middle for $4 ECB's with a $20 purchase. The next time you are in CVS, pick up this booklet for your free $4. Also, most stores now have a machine to scan your card and get free coupons. I have heard that sometimes it spits out a coupon for $5 off $15 purchase. NEW RITE AID COUPONS

Do you shop Rite Aid? If not, here is a good way to start. Click on the coupons.com link on my sidebar to print valuable coupons. Depending on what zip code you enter, you can print $3 off $15, $4 off $20, or $5 off $25 purchase. I find that I get the biggest variety of coupons by entering the zip code 90210, but you can experiment with different ones. The $4 off $20 would be great to team up with the Single Check Rebate that Rite Aid is offering this week on Duracell Batteries.

Buy 3 packs of Duracell Batteries @ 6.99 = 20.97

Use 3 75¢ off coupons -2.25

Use 3 $1 off in=ad coupons -3.00

Use $4 off $20 purchase -4.00 = $11.72 plus tax (you pay)

Single Check Rebate on Duracell -5.00 = $6.72 plus tax for 3 packs of Duracell batteries.

I bought 3 8-packs of AA batteries because we are always needing them. They were specially marked packages that contained 2 free AAA batteries, which we also use. I had been planning to buy 2 packs of AA and 1 pack of AAA, but when I saw the specially marked packages, I realized I could "have it all". So I got 24 AA batteries and 6 AAA batteries for $6.72 after rebate. Can't beat that!
