LIVE IT WITH CHARTER REDEMPTION DAYS

If you have Charter Communications as your cable, phone, or internet provider, you should be signed up for Live It With Charter. This is a free program and Charter awards you points every month when you pay your bill. Then, periodically, they have redemption Days with featured items that you can spend your points on. I have been a member for several years, but had never paid it much attention. Then, a few months ago, I was browsing the site and realized that I was losing points. They expire after 2 years, so I started spending them. At that time I purchased a $10 magazines.com gift certificate for 4000 points. Since then, I have "bought" a cooler, a $10 American Express gift card, and a $10 Wal Mart gift card. And I still have many points left. If you are not a member, go HERE to sign up. Redemption Days are going on right now through September 12. So, if you have points to redeem, you can do it now.

GREAT GROUPON DEAL

Are you a Groupon member? Groupon is an online site that features daily specials for almost any major city in the US. Membership is free and you can subscribe for daily emails for the city of your choice. You can sign up HERE. The really great thing about Groupon is that they often have specials from online companies, which means that it does not matter where you live, you can still get the deal. The way it works is, they put the deal out there and if enough people are interested, the deal goes through. They have a really great side deal listed under Seattle for today only. It is for zazzle.com. This is a company that offers personalized business products and gifts. You can even create your own personalized stamps, which is what I plan to do. This will take a few steps, but will be worth it in the long run.

1) Log in to Ebates and search for Groupon.
2) Click on Groupon: coupons and cash back: Shop now.
3) Under "Visit other cities", click on Seattle. Look to the right for the side deal " $25 for $50 Worth of Customizable Gifts from Zazzle.com (Up to $50)
4) Purchase your certicate.
5) Once you get your certicate and are ready to use it, log in or sign up for shopathome.com.
6) Search for zazzle.com.
7) Click on Zazzle and then shop now. You can now spend your certificate.

It is my plan to purchase personalized postage stamps for a very special ocassional we have coming up. I will get 60 stamps for less than 40¢ each after the certificate and ebates and shopathome rebates. I do not plan to order them yet, because the price of postage may go up before spring, which is when I plan to use them.

NEW TGI FRIDAY COUPON

I received a new TGI Fridays coupon today and thought I would share it. It is for $5 off when you buy 2 entrees. Click HERE to print your coupon now.

WANT A CHEAP SNUGGIE?

I've got a feeling that, as the weather gets cooler, we are going to start seeing more and more Snuggies at football games and other outdoor events. Right now is a great time to pick one up at CVS! First, print a $5 off coupon HERE. Then, when you get to CVS, scan your card at the Kisok. Most people are getting coupons for $3 off "As Seen On TV" item. The Varsity Snuggies are priced at 14.99 right now, so, using these 2 coupons together, you would get it for just 6.99. Good deal!

DOLLAR GENERAL COUPONS

If you shop Dollar General between now and Tuesday, September 14, do not throw your receipt away. According to their Facebook page, all receipts will have a valuable coupon printed on them. Go HERE to read their complete coupon policy.

BILO & FOOD LION 09/06

I decided to shop Food Lion this week because they had an interesting offer going. For every 4 Home 360 products purchased, you received $1 off your next order, up to $10 off. Since I needed to buy cat food this week, this was perfect! I bought 40 cans, on sale for 35¢ each. I paid $14 plus tax and received a $10 coupon. I then purchased a 5.47 lb package of ground beef and a cantaloupe. This total was 10.78. I used the $10 coupon I had just received and paid just 78¢. YAY! This deal is in effect through Tuesday, but I think that the cat food is back to the regular price of 40¢.

Then seemed to be my week for good deals on meat. When I went to Bi-Lo, they had the whole boneless pork loins for 1.99 per lb. This is about the lowest we will see them. I bought two and had the butcher slice them into regular-sized chops for me. I ended up with 37 boneless pork chops. This will do us for a while. I also used my raincheck for the Powerade Play that was on sale last week.

I forgot to take a picture.

Total before sales and coupons was 41.30.
Total spent was 14.11
I saved 27.19 or 66%.

CVS TRIP 09/06

When I went to cVS this week, I did 2 separate transactions in order to use some great coupons from the coupon printer in the store. I had already planned to buy everything I bought, except the bottle of clearanced shampoo and the "As seen on TV" things. This is what I bought.
8 Sobe Waters
2 Wisk Detergents
9 J & J Baby Products
1 Fruitopia Shampoo
2 Sundown Vitamins
1 Desitin Cream
1 Schick Hydro Refill
2 Trident Gum
2 "As Seen On TV" Green Bowl sets

Total value of everything before sales and coupons was 128.62.
Total I paid after sales and coupons was 20.52 plus tax.
I used 11.98 in ECBs and received 15.98 back, making the total spent 16.52. Even though that is much more than I normally spend, I wanted the baby items for a gift and the detergent was a great deal. The vitamins were the biggest expense, costing me $6 after coupons, but that's not bad for 2 bottles that normally cost 9.99 each.
I saved a total of 104.00.

STRANGE PLACE TO FIND COUPONS

I was browsing this morning on the AARP website (we have car insurance with them), when I noticed a discounts tab under food. Well, you know me, I had to click it. After a few clicks, I was on a page of coupons.com coupons. However, there were a few that were exclusive to AARP, like 1.25 off 2 Kelloggs Raisin Bran. There was also one for $3 off coffee when you buy 3 Smart Start Kellogg's Cereals. Go HERE to check them out. You may have to register with the site, but you do not have to be an AARP member.

NEW COUPON MAKES DETERGENT FREE!

If you go to CVS in the nest few days, chances are that the coupon machine will print you a coupon for $3 of $10 grocery purchase. In my store, the Wisk detergent that is on sale was considered groceries. So you could get 2 Wisk detergents and 2 Sobes (both on sale BOGO}, and have a really great deal. That is, if you have 2 of the $3 Wisk coupons that were in last week's Red Plum coupon inserts.

Here is the scenario:
2 Wisk Detergents @ 8.99
2 Sobe @ 1.59
1 Pack Triden Gum
Subtotal 11.57 plus tax
---(2) $3 Wisk Q's
---$3 CVS Q
---$1.59 Sobe Q from HERE (you have to play the Heads or Tails game.
You pay 98¢ plus tax.
You receive 99¢ ECB for Trident. This makes everything FREE!

PUBLIX TRIP 09/06

5 Newman's Own Sauce (5/1.73)
2 Large Lay's Potato Chips (2/2.00)
5 Yakisoba Noodles (5/1.00)

I saved 42.47 or 78%.
