FIRST WALGREENS COUPONING TRIP

Walgreens has a "register rewards" which I have never tried because the closest one is 30 miles away. Well, yesterday I was in the Columbia area for a family event and decided to give it a try. I worked out my plan and gathered my coupons the nigh before and was ready to go. Although they were out of one of the items I had planned to buy, I still did really well. I was able to pick up a coupon booklet in their pharmacy which saved me an extra $8. I did 2 separate transactions. This is what I bought:

1 Aviva blood glucose meter @ 9.99
-9.99 mfg coupon
-5.00 store coupon
2 Wet Ones @ 2.00
-1.50 mfg coupon x 2
1 Axe shampoo @ 2.99 (on clearance)
1 100 ct Lipton Tea Bags @ 2.99
1 Thera-Flu @3.99
- 2.00 mfg coupon
- 2.00 Store coupon

Paid $3.44 and got $5 back in RRs

Then I bought:

3 Van Camps Pork & Beans @ .99
- 50¢ in-ad coupon (came off 3 times)
1 Planters Peanuts @ 1.99
-1.00 store coupon
2 State Newspapers @ 2.00
Used $5 RRs from 1st transaction

Paid $1.49
In all I spent $4.93. I would have spent $4 on the newspapers anyway so I feel like I got everything else for just 93¢.

Great Trip! I'll definitely try this again the next time I am gonna be close to a Walgreen's.
