FREE TOTE BAG FROM VISTAPRINT

I received my free tote bag from VistaPrint and am quite satisfied. Here is a pic of it. It has my blog address on it. Actually, I have a second one coming. When I received my confirmation email there was an option to make changes. I realized that I had mis-typed the address and changed it. By doing so, I accidentally ordered 2 bags and paid shipping on both. Today I got an email from them saying that they had had some computer problems and as a way of apologizing offered more free stuff. I'll give that some thought.

I ordered 42 prints and a collage mug 3 days ago and the prints arrived today. They are beautiful, high quality prints. I have also received notice that the mug has been shipped. That is fast service!

PRINT YOUR COUPONS NOW

Because it is the end of the month, Coupons.com will be resetting their coupons soon. Click on the tab on my sidebar to print whatever coupons you want, because tomorrow they may not be there. There is a 50¢ off Starkist tuna pouch that will make it around 9¢ at Bi-Lo. There are many more great ones also.

SAVING MONEY ON GAS BY SHOPPING AT BI-LO

Did you know that you can save real money on gas just by shopping at Bi-Lo. Participating Bi-Los will give you 5 fuelperks for every $50 that you spend there each week. 5 fuelperks= 5¢ off per gallon of gas, up to 20 gallons. The amount is determined by you after BonusCard savings/before coupons savings totals. I know that this works because I just used my October perks the other day. I had earned 15 fuelperks this month and needed gas. I try and fill my tank when it gets to the 1/4 mark. I was only $12 in spending away from earning 5 more but, unfortunately, one of the locations that I shopped at does not participate in "fuelperks" so I missed that. Anyway, I went to a participating gas station, where the gas was $2.43 per gallon. That was 2¢ less than their competitor. This was the first time I had done this so I was not sure what was gonna happen. I looked at the screen and the first question was "Do you want to use your Bi-Lo Bonus Card?" It was simple from there. I pumped 12 1/2 gallons of gas for $2.28 per gallon. This is a great program because we all have to buy groceries. In this case, the more we spend, the more we save. I only wish I had bought the rest of my groceries at the location that does participate! I'll save more next month.
Go HERE for complete details, including participating locations and participating gas stations.

UNDER 50¢ EACH @ BI-LO THIS WEEK

There are a few items that you can get for under 50¢ at Bi-Lo this week if you have the coupon inserts from the last few weeks. They are:

Mentos Gum

Sells for $1.35

55¢ off (SS 10/11) doubles to $1.10

Makes it 25¢

Chef Michael's Dog Food 1.5 lb. bag(this is for small dogs)

Sells for $3

$3 off (SS 10/11) or PRINT

Makes it FREE

Marcal Small Steps Facial Tissue

Sells for 84¢ (B1G1F @ $1.69)

$1 off (SS 10/18)

X-14 Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner

JOHN FREIDA HAIR CARE

If you're like me, you really do not want to buy the more expensive brands of hair care products without knowing if they'll "work for you". Go HERE to request free samples of John Freida's Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Illuminating Shampoo & Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Illuminating Conditioner. That way you can try it before you buy it.

FREE FOOD FROM SCHWANN'S

Once again Schwann's is offering free food to new customers. They did this back in August and I took advantage of it then, so I can not do it now. This is truly a free offer with no strings attached. Go HERE to order your $10 worth of free food. It will be delivered right to your door. I ordered the hamburger patties, but you can order whatever you want from their large catalog. No credit card information is requested. When I ordered mine, after checkout. it said that I had a balance of 03¢. Then when it was delivered, the driver told me that I owed $1. I paid it. Later when I mentioned this to someone else who had received this offer, he said that his also showed that balance. He called customer service and they took it off. His driver did not request anything. I kinda think my driver just wanted a tip!? But I still had 8 premium hamburger patties for just $1. But you have to hurry. This offer ends Saturday.

FREE GLADE CANDLE

SC Johnson has released a new coupon. Go HERE to print a Buy One, Get One Free Coupon. I think I saw these in Wal-Mart for $2.48.

FREE STRESS BALL

Ever feel like just throwing something? Need to relieve a little stress without being destructive? Go HERE and sign up to receive a free stress ball from Girly Gal.

$15 FREE FROM KODAK

Last week I told you about the free offer from Kodak. Hope that you got your free $15 credit. I spent a good portion of the day looking for just the right pictures to go on my collage mug, which was $12.99. I had $2.01 left so I ordered prints of 22 pictures that I had on my computer. When I went to check out I saw that I had an additional $1.80 discount, (don't know why) so I ordered 20 more prints to bring my total to $14.97. I do have to pay Shipping and Handling, which is $7.98. I translate that as 19¢ per print and a free mug! I think I got a good deal. This mug would make a great Christmas present. Who wouldn't love to receive a coffee mug with pictures of their children or grandchildren? If you did not take advantage of this when it was posted, go HERE to do it now. The offer is still available.

WAL-MART SHOPPING TRIP 10/27/09

I took a few coupons to Wal-Mart yesterday because they were expiring soon and I did not want to miss the deals. I got 1 Glade Sense 'n' Spray for $2, 2 boxes of Toaster Strudels for 98¢ each, 10pk Bic disposable razors for 94¢, 2 Hormel Completes Dinners FREE + 2¢ profit each, 3 Macaroni Grill Dinner Kits $1 each (discontinued flavors regularly priced at $3.50 priced @ $2 & had coupons for $1 off), Sara Lee sliced Deli Meat (had coupon for $3 off), 2 Febreze Noticeables for $1 each, 1 bag of Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters, 1 16pk box of Pop'Tarts (Marked down to $2.64 but rang up at full price. I did not catch this until I got home. Oh, Well!). Not in the picture was a pack of Pork Sirloin Chops that had just been marked down to $3.15. Sub-total before my coupons was $46.16; after coupons was $18. Just the 3 air fresheners would have cost that, and much more if they had not been on "roll-back". Add to that the $1.50 each markdown on the dinner kits and the $1.60 reduction on the meat, the price before coupons would have been $52.26. That's a total savings of $34.26. Lots of Good Deals.

ROCK BOTTOM PRICE ON ALL YOU

ALL YOU Magazine is the absolute best magazine to subscribe to if you enjoy couponing. Each issue is packed with loads of coupons, many making the item free or close to it. If any of you recently received a fundraising package in the mail asking you to subscribe to a magazine in order to help the band, or some other school group, you are in luck! According to the package I just received, you can buy a 2-year subscription for just $20. That is just 83¢ an issue. It makes me wish that I had not already subscribed. ALL YOU's cover price is $2.49, but is sold only at Wal-Mart for $2.24. 24 issues would be $53.76 plus tax, if bought separately. If you would like to help the group that is raising funds, but really don't know what to order, why not order something that could pay for itself the first month? This is a win/win situation. You can help the school group and yourself at the same time. I know that the local band is conducting this fundraiser, as is my nephew's school in the midlands' area. I am sure that there are others, so watch your mail for it.

FREE REUSABLE BAG

As you all know, I love reusable shopping bags. I have about a dozen of them from various places. I love them even more when they are free. Go HERE to download a form to receive a free bag from ChiChi's when you purchase 2 of their products. Bi-Lo has several Chi Chi's products on sale right now, which makes this an even better deal.

When you visit my blog, please feel free to leave me comments about what is there. There is a comment tab at the bottom of every post. I would love to hear your suggestions and comments.

VISTA PRINT

Need business cards? How about a customized tote bag? Go HERE to choose freebie and design it now. Shipping & Handling do apply. This bag would team up great with CVS's "Green Bag Tag". I haven't decided yet whether to get the bag for shopping or the cards to promote SavinSource. Someone I know ordered the cards a while back and shortly afterward received an offer for a free t-shirt and various other stuff.

FREE CHICKEN

Kentucky Fried Chicken is, once again, offering every customer a free piece of their grilled chicken. The big event will be going on Monday, Oct. 26. This is not the first time they have done this and the last time, things did not go so well. Check out the Yahoo News story HERE. Go HERE for more details.

EMAIL FOR COUPONING

If you are planning to get into couponing heavily, you are going to have to register your email address on many, many, manufacturers' websites. If you do not want all that extra email coming to your regular inbox, I suggest that you set up a separate email account for couponing. For those who have Charter, you are allowed to have 10 different email addresses on the same account. And then there is yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc... This way, everything goes to that address. Just don't forget to check it regularly. A lot of companies send you an email to confirm and you are required to respond to it in order to receive whatever they are offering. Also, once you register with most companies, they send you offers quite often, and you do not want to miss them.

BAG CREDIT

Did you know that Bi-Lo and Target each give you 5¢ credit for each reusable bag that you bring in and use to put your purchases in? It does not matter if it is their bag or not. I have a whole collection of these bags and love to use them when I shop.

1) Credit at some stores.

2) Helps the environment.

3) Makes purchases much easier to carry.

Start your collection today!

CVS BAG TAG

If you shop CVS, you definitely need to purchase one of their new "Bag Tags" for 99¢. Then hang it on whatever reusable bag you choose to carry. Each time you are in, have the cashier scan the tag. Every 4th time it is scanned, you will receive $1 ECB. That is a $1 coupon to spend on your next purchase. The only limit is that your tag can only be scanned once per day. My cashier even scanned my tag during the transaction in which I bought it. And you do have to have an ExtraCare card. If you don't have one yet, sign up for one in your store or go HERE to sign up for one online.

ANOTHER RESTAURANT.COM OFFER

Just in case you missed the last sale, Restaurant.com has an even better offer. For a limited time, you can purchase a $25 gift certificate for just $3. That is 70% off the usual $10 price. You then use these gift certificates to treat yourself to a great meal at one of the many participating restaurants. At many of them the minimum purchase is only $35 in order to use the certificate. Gratuity and alcohol purchases are not included. So, you go, have a great meal that cost $35, add 18% gratuity = $41.30. You pay $16.30 + $3 that you paid for the certificate. That is $19.30 for a meal that would have cost you $41.30, a savings of more than 50%. Go HERE to purchase your certificates now. At checkout, enter the coupon code PUMPKIN for discount. Certificates are good for one year from date of purchase.

AIR WICK FRAGRANT HOMES CLUB

Want these fancy, usually expensive, air fresheners for next-to-nothing? Just go HERE and join Airwick's Fragrant Homes Club. After joining, you will be given the opportunity to earn reward codes by watching short videos, about 30 seconds each. Each video you watch earns you the right to print valuable coupons, enter sweepstakes, or register to win new products. There are many other ways to earn more points, like doing surveys, or simply entering the UPC code of the products that you bought. The last time I was in WalMart, the i-motion starter kits were on roll-back for $5. I used $4 off coupons and bought these for just $1 each!

U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card

LIVE IT WITH CHARTER

Do you have Charter Cable? And are you like me, paying them a small fortune each month for cable and/or Internet service? If so, I hope you are signed up for "Live It With Charter"! If not, go HERE to sign up. It costs you nothing and you receive points automatically every month. Then every couple of months they have "Redemption Days" where you can cash in your points for gifts. I have never cashed mine in, so I do not know how much you have to pay for shipping & handling. But you have to visit their site early during the redemption period because the good stuff sells out quickly. If you are already a member, Redemptions Days started yesterday at noon. Go HERE to sign in and redeem your points.

FREE SNUGGIE?

Well, folks, I don't know if this one is for real or not, but I decided to post it anyway. Someone called me yesterday and told me that they had signed me up to receive a free Snuggie Blanket. I am a little skeptical so I did a little research and found it on a couple of blogs that I consider to be reputable. But it still seems too good to be true. I have checked on several sites that list "hoaxes" and have not found it listed. So I think that it's worth taking a chance on. Go HERE and sign up to receive a free "Snuggie" blanket. According to the fine print, they may call you after you receive it to ask your opinion on it. I really don't mind that. If you don't answer, they say that they will email you to let you know that they are trying to reach you. Guess I won't really know if it is legit or not until I receive/don't receive it. This would have been a great thing to have at last week's band competition! It was so cold!

NOVEMBER ALL YOU COUPON LIST

Went I got home yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to find the November issue of All You Magazine had arrived. I was not expecting my first issue to arrive until next month. This issue does not have as many coupons as usual, but there are a few good ones. Go HERE to see the full list. This way you can decide whether you want to stop by Wal-Mart and pick it up, although I'm not sure if it is in the stores yet.

$15 FREE FROM KODAK

Kodak Gallery is giving every person $15 off anything! Go here and sign up and they will email you the special code (click on “Click to get your free gift”). When signing up make sure you click on the box to get future information from Kodak so that they will mail the gift code. I have already signed up and gotten my code. I am now going to design a mug, I think! Shipping & Handling does have to be paid, but that's a small price to pay for Kodak Quality. And it is probably not anymore than it would cost for me to go to the mall to order/pick up. You can also use your $15 to buy prints for 9¢ each. That's a lot of prints!

My Bi-Lo Deal Of The Week

Bi-Lo does not have a very good sale this week, though they do have quite a number of B1G1F items. There are just not a lot of coupon match-ups. They tend to have one really good week a month and that was a couple weeks ago. However, they do still have the Hormel entrees on sale. If you go HERE to print your coupon(s), you can buy them for $1.49 ea. However, these entrees only serve 2-3 people. I bought pork chops and it only had 3 pieces of meat. But then, at $1.49 ea. , I could afford to prepare 2 at a time.

MY SHOPPPING TRIP 10/20/09

I went shopping yesterday to do my weekly couponing. I decided to give Rite Aid's Single Check Rebates a try. I bought a lot of cold and sinus medicine that were on full rebate. My total was $42.74. I had $11 in store coupons bringing my total down to $31.74. I have already submitted my receipt for my rebates which total $37.94, which is $6.20 more than I spent. There is also a form inside one of the medicines which I will submit for another $6 back. So I've got lip balm, 2 different nasal sprays, 2 boxes of lozenges, sore throat fizzlers, & and a bottle of Tresemme Hair Conditioner which came with a free bottle of shampoo. I will get everything that I paid for it back plus $12.20. That's a great deal!

Next I went to CVS. I bought everything in the picture above for just $6.05. That is 1 Glade Candle, 6 bags of Fun Size Candy Bars, 2 packs of Trident Layers Gum, 1 Bag Tag, 1 large Cadbury Bar, 2 Mounds Pack-a-Snacks, 1 V-O5 Shampoo, 1 Herbal Essence Conditioner, and 1 Herbal Essence Hair Spray. I went in with $5 in ECB's and had $5 in ECB's when I came out. I have stocked up on Chocolate, which is a necessity!

Then it was off to Bi-Lo. I took a picture of what I bought but the battery was almost dead on my phone and the pic did not save. By the time I realized this, I had already put everything up.

My total before savings was $41.10; after savings was $14.26. I bought 2 Hormel Refrigerated Entrees (regular $6.99 each), 4 Green Giant Frozen Veggies, 2 Boxes Cheese Nips, eggs, bread, tuna, Michelina's Dinners, etc.

I'd say that I had a very successful day. I spent a total of $52.05 and I will get $42.94 back in rebates. That means this whole trip cost me $9.11. The total value of what I bought was $123.54 before sale prices, coupons, and rebates. That is a 93 % savings! I love couponing! And I love Chocolate!

When I post a freebie, it is only after I have looked at it and believe it to be real. In most cases, I have already participated in the offer. However, if I wait to make certain I receive it before I post it for you, the offer will probably have expired. Also, sometimes offers are rescinded before they start. I recently removed the Chick-Fil-A Calendar offer because I learned that it was not gonna be available.
Also many store chains have different prices in different areas. If I post a price for an item at a particular store, that is because I have checked it out at the store in my area, and do not guarantee that it will be the same where you shop.
If you find that an offer is not what it appears to be, please let me know via email or in the comments section of the post so that I can correct it.
I make no price guarantees and accept no responsibility if an offer expires or is removed. This blog is done in fun and in an effort to help others save money.

RITE AID SINGLE CHECK REBATE

Did you know that every week Rite Aid offers many items for "free"? This week is no exception. They are offering a lot of cold remedies and such on their Single Check Rebate plan. But you need to hurry if you want to take advantage of October's offers, as they will end on October 22. Go HERE to read more and see all of this week's offerings. The only draw back to Rite Aid's system is that you have to pay for it first and then wait a few weeks for your rebate. The best thing about it is that the rebate can be spent on anything you want, anywhere you want, as it is a check that you take to your bank. Although some people say they have had a problem with this. If your bank won't accept it, you can always take it to Rite Aid to buy the current deals. But before you go, go HERE to watch a few videos to earn a coupon for $4 off of a $20 purchase. While you're watching those videos you will also earn in-store coupons, which can be used to save money when you buy these item in their store. These coupons can also be used along with manufacturers' coupons to save even more.
